Fiasco Mash-up! Stumbling banking giant Citibank is helping build up Iraq's banking industry, reports Spencer Ackerman at the Washington Independent.
(To those over 40 or otherwise culturally illiterate: Rapper Jay-Z and the Beatles were the subject of perhaps the most famous "mash-up" album, by producer Danger Mouse. The album combined elements of Jay-Z's "Black Album" with the Beatles' "White Album." The result, "Grey Album," was considered one of the best albums of 2004, despite protests from record label EMI, which owned the rights to the White Album.)

I'm *under* 40 and I guess I'm culturally illiterate.
I have never heard of the grey album, nor have I heard one single second of any recording made by, or including, Jay-Z.
It's not an age-group thing, as evidenced by other commenters. It's a matter of personal preference. I found out in the '80s that I don't like rap. I wouldn't be listening to it now, even if I were still in my 20's.
If I wanted to listen to the Beatles, I would pull out my copy of the white album.
The first parenthetical sentence could have been phrased less offensively, like:
(To those unaware, Rapper Jay-Z and the Beatles...
