PMA Scandal a Sore Point for Dems in 2010?
March 05, 2009 1:35 PM
Will the PMA lobbying scandal will be an issue in the 2010 midterm elections? asks the Hill newspaper. For years, millions from PMA and its clients flowed to campaign coffers, predominantly Democrats.
Looks like the GOP is trying to make it so: the Hill says Republicans have mail already going out attacking three dozen House Dems who voted against a congressional ethics investigation of the matter.
Last night's Dem-heavy vote against stripping earmarks for PMA clients from a spending bill bolstered the storyline that Dems are tied to the group, as the conservative National Review shows.
