Politics Live: Bush Holds Final Press Conference
January 12, 2009 8:02 PM
In his final news conference Monday, President Bush defended his record and reflected on his greatest accomplishments and biggest mistakes during his eight years in office.
While the president candidly addressed serious issues ranging from the economy, to Hurricane Katrina, to the Iraq war, he also wasn't afraid to respond with humor. When asked what comes next for the president, Bush responded, "I'm a Type A personality...I just can't envision myself, you know, the big straw hat and a Hawaiian shirt sitting on some beach, particularly since I quit drinking."
Tune into Monday's edition of Politics Live for the latest in depth political analysis.

One would have hoped that the wild bush would have gotten the
message of his total and abject failure from the 'flight of the shoes'.
But no! This man drowning in his abysmal failures, clings tenaciously to his his straw men.
Nothing reflects the tone deafness of the incompetent bush as his disingenuousness about 'keeping American un-safe. lol
It's as if 911 did not happen on bush watch!
A Martian listening to
bush, would be left with the impression that bush took office after 911 and not NINE MONTHS BEFORE 911!

A good person can 'kill you' with a smile.
And so can an evil person.
A good person can project a sympathic veneer.
And so can an evil person.
So the defining qualities that separates the good person from the evil one ARE THE ACTIONS!
Actions of a good person is life-supporting.
Actions of an evil person is life-damaging.
Bush is destructive to the core!

You Bush bashers should silence yourselves. Your man is up next and if he is treated by the Right like the Left treated Bush, you will be quite unhappy. Obama is going to make mistakes and unless you want constant criticism of him, you should just shut the f up. As a Republican, I hope the absolute best for Obama but the weirdos that continue to bash the guy who is leaving makes me wish a little that the feel a little pain themselves. Let history decide Bush; he will be out in a few days. Move on, O'k?

KP history HAS decided on the incompetence of bush! lol
When do you think history begins?
You are living the history of the failed bush presidency!
Bush is lying, deluded and disingenuous when he speaks of 'mistakes'.
A rigorous application of inference will cause one to conclude that there was NO MISTAKE to invade Iraq, get so many humans slaughtered and so much wealth wasted!
There was no mistakes to not sending assistance to Katrina victims. After all, for years US has been sending assistance to foreign disasters?
There is no mistake to egging on the OUT OF PROPORTION mass killings in Gaza.
Punishment SHOULD 'fit the crime'; otherwise the punisher becomes the criminal.
And one could go on and on to Georgia-Russia and elsewhere, with bush FAILURES and ignorance!
The man should be tried for crimes against humanity. It is America's power to bully that is saving his behind!
If Obama turn out to be as deliberate and destructive, he will suffer the same bashing; because such deliberate destruction is killing America!

Jefferson's (ahem) vacant seat in
Louisiana? Did anyone ask W? Anyway,

years of freedom from terrorism deaths,
get ready for the fit to hit the shan
under Obama......you'll be ecstatic!

The shoe dodger of the century and the only US president in this century so far will be defined by those who wanted to have a beer with him and those who want to blame him for everything that has gone wrong. History will treat him kindly if there is a president worse than him, hopefully in the distant future or better still never. Until that time, one thing is for sure. GW made his father and Jimmy Carter seem like decent presidents. He had a time of his life, thanks to the voters who elected him twice so that he got another chance to do better than the first time, but turns out that was wishful thinking. Good bye 43rd. Wish we could have warned you not to mess with the USA as you had told Texans not to mess with Texas. It is too late now.

Under George W. Bush's presidency, the Rusians are backe from collapse starting another cold war; the Communist China has become a world power spreading nuclear weapons to Isamic terrists; Cheves in South America dares to insult the US president in the US territory; Bin laden is still alive; Talibans are coming back; Hamas can shoot Rockets to Iseal; Iran will have N-bomb; Iraqis dare to shoot shoes to the US... The USA is going to be bankrupted from the No. 1 Super Power, the US dollars are going to nothing...Thank you Bush. you are stronger and more powerful than Bin laden. Terrists and the Communists all like you very much. You are really GREAT!!
