Rev. Wright Follows Obama to D.C.
January 12, 2009 9:27 PM
ABC News' Tahman Bradley reports: This Sunday, while Barack Obama polishes off his inauguration address and enjoys a concert at the Lincoln Memorial, his controversial former pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright will speak at Howard University's chapel service.
Wright usually appears once a year at the Washington, D.C., school's chapel as part of a rotation of distinguished speakers and members of the clergy. Wright's fiery style and thought-provoking messages typically draw a capacity crowd when he appears at the historically black university each year.
Wright's appearance in Washington, which comes just two days before Obama is to be sworn in as the nation's 44th president, will likely draw enormous attention. During Wright's appearance at the National Press Club last April, the world clearly saw that the pastor doesn't really hold his tongue. Wright, his image tarnished by incendiary comments he'd made while pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago -- comments that got injected into the 2008 presidential race -- criticized then-Sen. Obama's rebuke of his earlier controversial statements. In response, Obama denounced Wright, and he and his family resigned their membership of Trinity church.
Howard University's official inauguration activities will include a symposium next Monday hosted by Spike Lee and a viewing campaign brunch on Inauguration Day.
It's not clear whether Wright has been invited or plans to attend any of Howard's official inauguration events.

No Kidding - he's in office now, so watch out for all the lunatics he acquaints himself with! God Help America!

How much press and attention does this draw away from the actual inauguration? And what happens if Wright decides to show up at an official inauguration event? No doubt the press will be gunning for an Obama/Wright confrontation...

What confrontation? Their last one was a sham. It was a sacrifice by Wright so he could give Obama an out from the controversy of being in Wright's church. In other words, the American people have been had.

It's all about the Rev. Wright first and foremost. Anything to keep your self in the national media. Serving God is a distant second after serving himself. And we wonder why organized "religion" turns off the average American. Find another job. Pastoring clearly is not it. your doing more harm than good.

Reverend Wright is yesterday's news.

To this day I scratch my head and wonder what Obama ever saw in Wright that would allow him to stay in the same room with the guy. However, those days may be over, and it looks like Obama is a guy that sticks with his decisions, which is an excellent attribute to have in a leader, especially when the decisions are based on doing the right thing. Unfortunately, at the end of it all Wright is a loser, looks like he always will be. End of story.

aww..twenty years as an active member is hardly forgotton sheep. Obama should get the Oscars and Wright be the sacrificial lamb for America. When? only time will tell. So far Obama has been on a long winning streak. Amen Amen. "Damn to America" rings throughout the nation alright with Obama leading the calvary singing hail to Halfrica.

And Bishop Robinson, who is ignorant of basic anatomy is another PEBO invocation pick! :(
Tolerence of murder and inappropriate sexual orientation is demoralizing and de-moralizing for America and Americans!
When PEBO does not protect the "least of these" and condones an ignorance of anatomy he is not wise but just politically pragmatic!
Roll on 2012! PEBO and the far left-wing so called prgressives are certainly de-moralizing America and Americans with their pseudo tolerance!

Obama is still an idiot. But, he sounds good on TV.

Rev. Wright can't seem to take a hint can he. He can't just let Obama go. I think this has turned into a little obsession with the rev. To constantly interfere and infiltrate Obama's new career.

Forgiveness is what is needed here. for those that lost and continue to trash. for some off comments by Rev Wright. For our behavior as a nation as many were killed without our objection. The terrorist is us whenever we speak of harming or inflicting terror on another. In order to defeat hate we must not hate. Difficult but doable

Personally I can't wait to hear what Rev. Wright is going to say next! I'm pretty sure they'll make a reality show out of him someday...then you'll REALLY scratch your head and wonder how in the world BO could choose this dude as his "spiritual guide".

Some one indicated that Reverend Wright is yesterdays news... stay tuned! With Obama's track record for acquaintences it will be a matter of time before his ties come back... a leopard doesn't change his spots...

Obama lovers include:
1. Radicals
2. Liberals
4. Irresponsible
Those in categories 1 and 2 are who they are, and hate everything that made America great.
But they should be afraid of those in Category 3. When the young American's realize they've been had by the elites, MTV, etc. They will come back with a vengence.

It is apparent that Reverend Wright's warped views of America are still an integral, influential part of the Obamas' beliefs. As Wright begins to open up again, we will learn more about the true feelings of the Obamas.
