ABC News' Z. Byron Wolf reports: Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor has been much looser and more comortable in her meetings with Senators today during the brief photo ops where we see her.
Rather than just sitting and smiling, she has talked with the lawmakers about a myriad of non-newsy things.
And a theme is emerging from her meetings with women Senators - a shared love for the mysteries of Nancy Drew.
President Obama mentioned Sotomayor's inspiration from the books in announcing her nomination.
During a photo op with Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD, and also a Drew fan, apparently) this morning, Sotomayor talked about not being able to find them at the Bronx library as a kid.
This afternoon, meeting with Maine Republican Olympia Snowe, the subject came up again. As they looked at a photo in Snowe's office of Sandra Day O'Connor,
The Maine Senator said she too is a Drew fan.
