Fauci: Don't Blame the Drug Companies!


According to Dr. Anthony Fauci of NIH, it’s because of there was a perfect storm of events that created the shortage, or in his parlance, a “triple whammy.” Fauci told Congress, “You start late through no fault of anybody. That’s when the virus appeared. You have a flu waiting for you when the kids go back to school and you have a slow grower. That’s the issue. That’s the issue." It turns out that the H1N1 grows quickly in human beings, but not so quickly in the eggs used to grow the vaccine.

Huckabee: Mechanism, Not Ideas, Failed Conservatives in NY-23


ABC News’ David Chalian Reports: A once and, perhaps, future Republican presidential candidate described the unfolding of events among the Republican and conservative ranks in NY-23 as nothing short of a “disaster.” “It was just a disaster waiting to happen so I don’t think it was so much about the Democrat got elected, it was that the Republicans really fumbled the ball and the Democrats fell on it in the end zone,” said former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on ABC News’ “Top Line.”

Senators Expand Home Buyer Tax Credit, Extend Unemployment Benefits

GOP Leaders: ‘Political Rebellion Going on in America’


The top Republicans in the House and Senate, House Minority Leader John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, took something of a victory lap today, jumping on the results from yesterday’s elections in Virginia and New Jersey to predict GOP gains in the 2010 congressional contests.

DGA to Guv Candidates: Don't Get 'Boxed In' on Health Care Reform


Nathan Daschle, the executive director of the Democratic Governors Association (D.G.A.) said Wednesday that the party's candidates for governor cannot "fall into the trap" of getting "boxed in" on federal issues like health-care reform.
