Limbaugh: Obama Using Haiti to Build ‘Credibility with Black Community’

ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: On his radio program Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh injected a big dose of politics into President Obama’s response to the tragedy in Haiti.

“In the Haiti earthquake, ladies and gentlemen, in the words of Rahm Emanuel, we have another crisis simply too good to waste,” Limbaugh said. “This’ll play right into Obama’s hands -- humanitarian, compassionate. They’ll use this to burnish their, shall we say, credibility with the black community -- the both light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country.”

Watch Limbaugh’s comment, plus some analysis, from yesterday’s “Top Line” on ABCNews.com.

Limbaugh also seemed to suggest that Americans had no need to donate to relief efforts: “We've already donated to Haiti. It's called the U.S. income tax,” Limbaugh said.
