We’re now at the point where rudeness rules the debate -- where both sides are shouting, and not a lot of listening is going on. National discussion, meet national mayhem. Yes, it’s August, but health care reform is going to require a lower temperature.

They're Baaack -- New 'Harry and Louise' Ad Is for Health Care Reform


The new $4 million ad airing this weekend on the Sunday talk shows comes from the original producer of the first series, and is sponsored by two large insurance companies, Families USA and PhRMA. The ad will run for several weeks on cable and broadcast networks.

The Note, 6/10/2009: Deeds & Words -- Can Obama reconcile with himself on health care reform?


It’s a day for outsiders -- at least in Virginia -- and President Obama needs to channel some campaign energy to play the inside game in Congress, as his healthcare plan takes shape with perhaps two campaign pledges left in the past, ABC News senior political reporter Rick Klein writes in the Wednesday morning Note. And with Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s confirmation hearings set, we hope her brother has cleared his schedule.
