War funding, Cash for Clunkers Headed to Obama's Desk


Senators have voted 91-5 tonight to pass the $106 billion appropriations bill that will fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The bill passed the House earlier this week and is now en-route to President Obama’s desk.

The Note, 6/10/2009: Deeds & Words -- Can Obama reconcile with himself on health care reform?


It’s a day for outsiders -- at least in Virginia -- and President Obama needs to channel some campaign energy to play the inside game in Congress, as his healthcare plan takes shape with perhaps two campaign pledges left in the past, ABC News senior political reporter Rick Klein writes in the Wednesday morning Note. And with Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s confirmation hearings set, we hope her brother has cleared his schedule.
