TOP LINE: Sotomayor’s Success Will Take Time to Measure
This weekend Justice Sonia Sotomayor was sworn into the nation’s highest court as the third woman and first Latina in history to hold the position of Supreme Court Justice. Rachel Brand, former Justice Department official and counsel to the George W. Bush administration stopped by ABC’s Top Line today saying Sotoymayor’s success will take time to measure.

Retiring GOP Senators Free to Vote for Sotomayor
Republican Sen. George Voinovich of Ohio said this afternoon that he’ll support Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination to the Supreme Court. He’s retiring at the end of the year so he really doesn’t care about an NRA rating. And maybe that has something to do with it.

We’re now at the point where rudeness rules the debate -- where both sides are shouting, and not a lot of listening is going on. National discussion, meet national mayhem. ‘Roe’ of Roe v. Wade Arrested at Sotomayor Hearings
ABC News’ Rick Klein and Jan Crawford Greenburg report: Norma McCorvey, the plaintiff in the famous Roe v. Wade abortion case who is now an anti-abortion activist, was one of four protesters arrested for disrupting today’s opening day of Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s confirmation hearings, according to the US Capitol Police.
