In Nonbinding Vote, House Keeps Iraq Withdrawal Timeline

ABC News' Dean Norland Reports: The U.S. House of Representatives voted late Thursday night to keep binding Iraq withdrawal timeline language in its version of the supplemental appropriations bill as it goes to conference with the Senate. The House bill requires the withdrawal of U.S. troops by the end of August 2008.
The vote was on a motion to instruct conferees, which means the motion is nonbinding.
President Bush has said repeatedly that he would veto any legislation passed by Congress which sets a deadline for U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq.

I'm sick of the impotent Democrats.
I have been against the Republicans
ever since Watergate, but this body
of do-nothings is really living up to
their symbol--the donkey. If they are following some DNC line of resting on
their laurels after the victory over
the Republicans, they are rapidly losing all the ground they gained, every day. They'll be lucky if even
ONE Democrat remains loyal in 2008.

The only thing worse than the slow progres by Democrats right now is having ("King George")Bush continue his flim flam power grab. I think it is hard to undo the damage that has been done to honest representation in our government.

"Honest Representation" in government? I would be willing to bet almost any amount of money that we couldn't come up with a list of more than two or three names who would fit that description. Neither party works for us anymore...
