Why Can't Barack Obama Close the Deal?
April 24, 2008 5:16 PM
Senior Political Reporter and author of The Note Rick Klein blogs about how Clinton's blue-collar coalition is fueling critical wins and raising general election doubts:
The candidate who burst onto the national stage promising to bring red and blue states together is suddenly looking quite blue.
Sen. Barack Obama's second consecutive lopsided loss in a critical swing state has exposed soft spots in the support he's been able to secure.
The Illinois senator's had persistent problems in winning working-class, less-educated whites and Pennsylvania accentuated his seeming inability to connect with those voters.

Obama says, while the boys seated next to him, "were doodling in their church bulletin" Reverend Wright spoke on Sharpsville and Hiroshima!"

Senator Obama,
You can't close the deal because you are out of touch with working class voters. You can't close the deal because more Democrats have pulled the lever for Hillary Clinton than for you. You can't close the deal because you insulted small town people all across America!

Plus you are a lousy bowler!

obama can't close the deal because americans don't want him and his america-hating wife in the white house. he got a lot of delegates while people didn't know much about him except he made a nice speech. the more people learn, the less they like him, even though he says the opposite. he may or may not get the nomination, due to the numbers he piled up early. he will NEVER be president.
hillary or mccain. no other option.

Why is the news people pushing for Obama? Trying to get the people to turn to Obama. The news people should not show who they like.

To Bob Hayes
------------------------
To answer your quesitons:
------------------------
For all of you Hillary Clinton Supporters
1. What has she done, besides being the wife of Bill Clinton, to be CEO of the largest company in America.
Hillary is an intelligent no none-sense Ivy League Lawyer who would not just sit in the white house as first lady. Because of her background she knows and understands what the real issues are.
2. What happened when she was in charge of health care reform (a disaster)
If Hillary becomes President, she now has the full maximum power to implement her health care reform. As a first lady and senator, she has limited action and decision
3. How can you be CEO of the largest company in America and not be trusted by over 62% of the American people
62% is just an exit poll. It's not always accurate. She won't be winning the critical states crucial for demcratic electoral votes if majority hates her. Obama's skeletons haven't been fully out in the closet, yet. If they do come out, his percentage disapproval will be a lot more than that
--------------------------
Let's reverse the question:
--------------------------
For all of you Obama Supporters
1. What has he done, to be CEO of the largest company in America.
NOTHING. Obama no experience- 1st time senator

To bob hayes......What has Obama done? Oh yeah he tried to play the American people stupid. Then he sends his mentor pastor out to do damage control get a life. I'm African American and I am repulsed by the fact that Obama thinks the voting public is that stupid. Now he's sweeping the South with votes go for it and, the analysis say well look he's won the hard to win states for Dem's yeah well that was before people found out he was a closet bigot. How stupid do they think we are.... If Obama is the nominee you definitely have McCain as your fearless leader. Better hope he picks a good VP because if Obama is all the DNC has to offer this year, I'll sit this one out.

If Chris Gardner (true character in "The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)" is gonna run for office, I would vote for him. His intelligence and perseverance are natural. To resolve a rubix cube within 30 mins is just pure brainiac. Never seen anyone like that before.

Hillary is such a polarizing and well know figure. Her husband the former president and she the former first lady and senator both have been around in politics for several years. She claims to have several years of experience. Inspite of having the backing of her husband, Together as a family they are 3 popular figures campaigning. While she campaigns in Indiana, Bill campaigns in North Carolina. She has so many factors to her advantage. Yet she is behind in the delegates, the popular vote. Sen Obama has been around for a few years. He doesn't have the two for 1 ticket that Hillary enjoys. Yet, he's ahead. Why can;t she close the deal? Instead she poses the question to Sen Obama. The Math of how she has the most popular votes is so funny. Hillary - let's count those states in which the two of you fairly contested and see if you are ahead in the popular votes.
Posted by: Aneeta | Apr 26, 2008 1:17:44 AM
Rather Hillary or Obama is ahead neither one has enough delegates to win alone...... Both of them seem to be in the same boat and Obama is not the popular vote. In fact at this point it is a big risk to have him be the nominee.
