With Polls Closed, Dems To Unveil Gas Prices Legislation

So, why isn't Hillary or McCain authoring their own bills to include the tax holiday? Probably, because they know it is just a gimmick....

She did author a bill and it was DOA.

No doubt Hillary will be out denouncing the Democratic proposed legislation as ELITIST.

The so-called gas tax holiday is a joke.

If you were to fill up your car once a week for the three months proposed, at 18 gallons per tank, you are looking at a total savings of $42.

The price of oil is determined by the market, and the oil companies have little, if any control over it. We are competing for oil with growing economies such as China and India.

Thanks to the Democrats, exploration and drilling in the United States has been on the decline for decades.

It is also the case that the oil companies operate on a profit margin of roughly 10 percent. This is comparable to or slightly less than other fortune 500 companies.

So where are the excess profits? Nowhere. It is nothing more than a lame excuse to cover up for the Democrats own lack of an energy policy.

We should be working on developing nuclear, hydrogen, and particularly fusion power capabilities.

However, these are not considered to be politically correct energy sources, or do not fit into the politically correct obsession of bashing big business.

The liberal left wing is in control of the legislative schedule. They are in control of the primary schedule also. They stacked it in favor of Obama and the voters have been trying to fight back (hence the reason half the electorate supports Clinton even in the face of potential defeat). This is an obvious ploy by them to continue to work in Obama's favor by stopping any hint of relief for voters until after the NC and IN primaries. Guam is recounting due to numerous evidence of possible corruption. An investigation is being launched into possible corruption in IN. The county that held back votes (missing for 3 hours) has a pro-Obama mayor. The writing is on the wall and people just cant see it. The DNC is corrupt. I will remain an Independent and will not support further corruption by voting for Obama if he is the nominee without Clinton. I am in favor of Clinton on an Independent ticket.

Before you try to lay the blame on President Bush for the failure of Congress to grant final approval to the National Nuclear Waste Storage Repository, take some time to look at how Congress has responded, and perhaps more importantly, who in Congress has been involved.

Certainly, there is blame to be had on both sides.

However, the Democratic party has made it quite clear that they want to destroy the Nuclear Industry, destroy the Oil Industry, and apparently, would be perfectly happy to replace our transportation infrastructure with bicycles and horses.

I will laugh when the DNC asks for money and tell them to lie in the bed that they made for themselves.

After 9-11 Bush told congress to authorize him to go to war, to do the PATRIOT Act and whatever else he wanted. They meekly complied. Example: See John Kerry. He did not push the Waste Dump.

Why on earth would I support the Democratic Party that is playing politics with gas prices?

When they have an opportunity to give working americans a temporary break while longer term initiatives make their way through the system, the leadership (Read: Pelosi) play politics to deny us some relief.

What a bunch of losers. The only ones with an approval rating lower than GWB is our Congress. Go figure!
