McCain Opens Up About What Tonight Means To Him
September 04, 2008 5:01 PM
At the end of World News tonight we'll hear more from Charlie Gibson's interview with John McCain. Tonight, Senator McCain accepts the nomination of his party, in front of all seven of his children.
"I think that it's wonderful that they were all able to rearrange their schedules," McCain said. "Sometimes we haven't been able to do in the past."
Charlie asked him whether he is really able to appreciate and enjoy this monumental evening.
McCain responded: "...There's 1,000 things on my mind. You know, I worry about things and all that. But just before going to sleep, I open my eyes and stare in wonderment that a person could really actually achieve the nomination of a great and wonderful party, but most importantly, of the greatest nation in the world, and it's an honor beyond description."

I am sorry my fellow republicans Sarah speech was boring, disconnected and very distasfull. As an American and a long time republicand I really now belive that this was McCain worse judgement up to date. I just can not see sarah as president of the United states. I will not vote for the McCain/Paulin ticket just because I am a republican. I will but my Country first. I was hoping for Pawlenty or Mitt. Sarah is proving to be the biggest risk. She is just to controversial and the news just keep coming. I value my conservatism to much and we are known for being all over the place. I will hold my nose and vote the Barack/Biden ticket.

NO WAY..NO HOW!!! NO MACAIN.
I dont like Hillary. But I must say I dont like Sarah either. Sarah is the worse thing that every happen to our party. As a moderate Republican I must admit that I was very disturb my her speech last night. It was rove all over again and she did not talk about a single issue. I am not a big Barack Obama fan but I honestly belive the Biden and Barack are the best choice. Sorry Palin you just lost a moderate republican.

Another record breaking TV viewership tonight following almost 38 million views for Sarah Polin. Another assurance that you are a great decisive leader in picking your running mate as opposed to the old politics, status quo pick by Obama. Congratulations McCain on achieving the Presidential nomination tonight & All the Best for your future endeavours. God Bless you & God Bless America
