Obama On "The Old Boy Network"

September 17, 2008 3:22 PM

Nm_obama_change_02_080910_main Tough words from Barack Obama -- moments ago in Elko, NV:

"This is someone who's been in Congress for twenty-six years – -who put seven of the most powerful Washington lobbyists in charge of his campaign – and now he tells us that he's the one who will take on the old boy network. The old boy network? In the McCain campaign, that's called a staff meeting."

OBAMA'S REFERENCES ARE SO WELL THOUGHT- OUT WITH SUCH CLARITY AND PUNCH LINES, THAT McFLUFF'S LIES SOUND SILLY AND SHALLOW, YET THEY (McFLUFF'S SPIN) GET MEDIA ATTENTION........

Flip-flop, Diddy-Bop McCain. King of deregulation while in the Senate. Now, of course, we need more regulation of the financial services industry. HYPOCRITE

Democrats ran the chair and oversight of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac. Surprise! Fanny and Freddie collapsed and not a word from the democrats. Democrats ran the chair and oversight for every economic committee in congress and the senate. Surprise! The economy collapsed and not a word from the democrats.

Surprise! the Republicans hammered deregulation into place years ago. The economy went to hell and now the GOP wants regulation!

Obama the CEO

When Obama was running (unsuccessfully) for Congress after just one term in the Illinois State Senate, he touted his experience with CAC as a qualification for high office. I've chaired major philanthropic efforts in the city like the Chicago Annenberg Challenge," that gave fifty million dollars to prompt school reform efforts throughout the city. The Chicago Annenberg Challenge fiasco was a colossal flop, wasting $150 million taxpayer dollars. The entire project later sold to city for $10.00. Thank Obama.

Posted by: Omentum | Sep 17, 2008 4:36:02 PM

Gabby, most on this board and others probably make less than 200K so the tax increases will only have a positive effect on my disposable income. As a matter of fact, I haven't had any disposable income for about 8 years now! It's time for a change! Let the middle class have some money to spend and see what America looks like in a couple of years!

Posted by: Dee | Sep 17, 2008 4:36:35 PM

And what "ol boy network" is BIDEN not in? ... Obama thinks he's slick but just wait for the debates ... he won't have a teleprompter then!!!!!!!

Hillary 2012!!!!

The BEST reform that McSame can and should offer is the one to "reform" himself by quitting. Tell me, if someone who has been there for 26 years, voted with the status quo for over 95% of the last eight years, which has seen the economy tanking, losses in jobs, homes and livelihood, how likely is it that he can and will be able to reform anything??? Now, in the last days, both McSame and McPalin have been touting "regulation" in one sentence and "deregulation" in the next sentence, AND ALL DURING THE SAME SPEECH!!! Do these jokers realize they do not have an iota of understanding of what they are talking about? Expect reform or assistance from them? Might as well aak the woodchuck nibbling on the grass in my backyard. It would be really hilarious if it is not so tragic!!

MACCAIN CAN'T USE A PC DO TO HIS INJURIES FROM THE WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: GABBY | Sep 17, 2008 4:53:21 PM

Obama represents the worst in DC politics -- big money, favors, influence peddling. I hope the DNC and other socialists realize the opportunity they've squandered some day. But, based on past history, probably not!
