September 26, 2008 3:23 PM
Diane Sawyer's special interviews and profiles with Senators Obama and McCain. Interesting stuff -- even now, when we think we've seen and heard everything there is to see and hear about these two men. Take a look...

Call him a 'Maverick', short tempered, or old... but one thing you'll never call McCain is 'President'.

I'm amazed that McCain can move so fast and be so wrong. He's like Bush on steroids. Thank God he's showing us this before the election. My vote goes to Obama - the more stable of the two.

Palin has shown she is a fridge magnet for the neocons.

Obviously McCain picked Palin to attrack the Hillary vote, because he sure didn't pick her for her brains.

Neither of these guys are Presidents.
2nd if she is taking their lives into what makes a president.
Then the people who have had Great influence on Mr Obama should be in a large amount of consideration.
His life long friends of 20 years from Chicago, Rezko, wright, Ayers, Plfeger,People who he choose as friends after knowing what they stood for, kept them close in his personal and professional life. Men who befriended a young man who was confused and naive. Definitely over 20 years helped shape and make him the man he is today.
No one hangs or keeps as friends people with such radical views, idea's and convictions unless they hold those as their own.
Wright his mentor, someone he bounced all his political ideas off of. Close friends with a radical Anti-American.
Ayers whom he worked with, dined with, lived beside and who's children hung out, they even vacationed together. Close friends with a terrorist.
Rezko a man under federal investigation for felonies, he got to help him buy a house he could not afford. Close friends with a felon.
Mr Obama spend more years with those men than he did with his grandmother or mother.
God bless his Grandmother for trying to raise him right and proper for 18 years, whom he threw under a bus calling a "Typical white woman."
Mr Obama's voting record of hundreds of present votes and inablility to commit to helping the people or the country, or even put up a fight for them, Just rasised his hand and said I am here. What a failure to the people.
The people in his district in Chicago are still waiting for the promises he made to them. I am happy they did not hold their breath waiting.
Mr Obama is not Presidential Material.
He is material for a sales department of a major company. He has sold himself off with poor peoples money, using every media available. Which he owes to his PR team. All he did was give a speech.
No thank you Mr Obama we need a real President not a marketed pipe dream.

Hillary is a professional and Sarah and amateur. Hillary is really for women's rights and Palin is against any aspiration women can have. McSame made an over very huge mistake by thinking that women can be defined by biology only. But it reflects his very negative views about women.

And McCain supporters are reduced to snarking at people's typos when looking to criticize the left. Well played, genius.

When are Democrats going to support the establishment of democracy in Iraq?
Not as long as cowards like Obama are leading the Dem party.

I am shocked at the response of the debate, however, I haven't heard on the Repulican side what they can do for me. Simple hard working individual who is looking to find a full time benefit job in my own country that I paid taxes for all my life. However, I am not looking for hand outs, just some help. How about the next president assist us educators with our Loans that we have to pay back, after working for less than what our degrees said we would make. I am still looking for that job to pay my fiancial loan back. Would be nice if the government would forgive my loan....I am just one of thousands who may need a boost in that direction.

By the way, I forgot to add. I am 54,000 in debt for a Master Degree that took me 10 years to get, as a single mom, in Counseling, I make 15.00 an hour part time. Tell me why I cannot find a job in Ventura County, as a full time counselor? Never mind the CBEST exam, I should have enough experience to get a job at a college, right? Well, not really, budget cuts keep us out of the loop, how will I be able to pay back my loans...? Does anyone have an answer? I've got over 50 applications to various institutions, and still, 10 years later, working for the same job, part time...it took me 10 years to go from 12 dollars per hour to 15 (Health Benefits and retirement included). And we are bailing out 750billion dollars to whom? Where is the loyality to us, the people who keep this country going? Corky

If I have my way I will ask Oboma to withdraw from the race because. I do not want an innocent man like him that has the interest of peace and growth of his country America to be blamed for the collapse of America empire. From my own point of view I think America has reached it climax just like other big empires before America. With regards to the debate between Oboma and McCain I realy can understand that majority of Americans love and glorify war so much instead of diplomacy and peace otherwise I do not understand why McCain can still have the affront to vie for the oval office and some American people in their right senses came out in mass to support him, knowing fully well that he is a war monger and he contributed a lot to the American present economic situation. I do not understand if America recognized that they have lost control and respect of world since eight years ago. I wonder why they did not notice that China and France are seriously fighting for the leadership position America carelessly dropped. China has taken over Africa and Middle East while France is in control of Europe through their new charismatic leader. Presently China and Russia are fighting for the control of South America. The world is changing so fast that military power or war no longer determine your might but your efficiency in diplomacy, economy and vibrant leadership. Years ago USSR was carried away by it's military might and later collapsed. Thanks to God that Putin came to save them from completely vanishing from the world map. During those years of Putin he did not fight any war but concentrated on economy and diplomacy that is reason Russia is again a country to be counted on as a world power. China for years avoided war but resorted to making friends with countries and creating markets, that is the reason they have a lot of market to supply their goods and products. In Africa I can hardly see any American product. But let me warn America there are two traps which I pray you do not plunge into, the traps are Iran and Russia. This may lead to the total collapse of your empire if you resort to war instead of diplomacy as solution to resolve the crazy act of these two countries. Most Europe countries are no longer happy with your incessant wars which has brought economic problems to them and bad relationship with the middle east and many other continents. Take example from your NATO member Spain that withdrew their troops from Iraq. You may not agree with my view but you will realize what I mean when you start up another war.
Spain example is a warning. NATO OR NO NATO be informed that Europe are no longer ready for any other war. Peace with your enemy is the only way to avoid this calamity. Read the hand writing on the wall, you are being circled by enemies you created out of carelessness. South America, Canada, Cuba are all against you. Do not pretend you do not know that Canada is nursing a bad feeling against you. With peace and diplomacy I am sure you will get Osama bin laden and also defeat terrorism, but with aggression you may find it impossible. I do not think that the Arabs like Osama and his gang of murderers but what I think is that they do not like the way America is going about it. Quote me, any day America chose the way of diplomacy I am sure the Arab world will provide Osama and his gang to America to face justice because they know where he is hiding. Iran nuke will came to end, North Korea will also stop their nuke adventures. Chaves rhetoric will come a stop, the world will love America once again. Listen to your former secretaries even though Mr. Kissinger cowardly denied what he said when he was pressed by Christina Amampur to clarify his stand on diplomacy and direct taik with your enemies, he mumbled his last word but we all heard him. America should not because of pride and ego get into what they cannot handle. McCain is too dangerous to rule America for now. He will bring more problems to you. From the statements ot the people of Europe and their leaders with respect to Oboma tour in Europe you can understand that they do not like McCain, Middle East do not like him, your neighbours in American continent do not like him, Asia do not like him even Africa does not like him. America should chose a president the world would accept so that your diplomacy and relationship in the world you are leading would agree. I know America has right to elect who ever they want as president but should elect the person that will be accepted to the world you are leading so that your foreign policies will be accepted by other nations. If you elect McCain honestly you may be isolated by other countries who do not love war but peace.
