Questions For Sarah Palin

September 08, 2008 11:14 AM

Ap_palin_080907_main As you may know, Charlie Gibson will have the first interview with the Alaska Governor and GOP VP nominee later this week. Last week many of you provided questions for our interview with Senator McCain; we welcome the same this time around...

As vice president, do you promise not to push for teaching creationism next to evolution is public school science as you have been quoted as supporting? If not, how do you justify this position with regards to seperation of church and state?

Charlie you can ask: How about the plane comment...it was not sold on e-bay but to a private entrepreneur. Why she endorsed Obamas's energy plan and wanted to meet with him to discuss its merits? What exactly is Creationism? What about the bridge/you did support it. What about wanting to remove books from the library and mostly what about other "firings" in her administration? Let's see if any of these things are asked...they can be verified on the IReport of CNN.

As an advocate for smaller government, what measuring stick do you use for deciding a program/expenditure is frivolous?

Posted by: rc | Sep 8, 2008 11:27:34 AM

The question I would ask is this:

During your speech at the convention you said many things that factcheck.org says are untrue. Please explain:

1. Bridge to nowhere - actaully you were for it
2. You said you are for reform but you filled your administration with friends and lobbyists, you were in charge of Ted Stevens 527, you are under investigation for abuse of power and apparently you have a history of similar problems
3. You said that mayors have "actual" responsibilities and community organizers do not. When you were mayor didn't they have to hire a town administrator to help you because you ran into some trouble
4. You said that Obama hasn't passed any laws. He passed several including nuclear non-proliferation, government transparency, and ethics reform. And some were bipartisan efforts.
5. You said Obama would raise taxes. Didn't you raise taxes in Wasilla and leave it $26 million in debt?

Charlie, please ask the tough questions. Do not let her get out of answering the questions. The American people deserve to know the real Sarah Palin and not the one created by the McCain campaign.

Gov Palin, Why did you insinutate that community organizers don't have responbilities?

Posted by: Brian | Sep 8, 2008 11:29:03 AM

What is the single most important qualification, skill, or experience that you would bring to a McCain presidency?

If global warming is not a man made phenomenon, then what in your judgement and opinion is the cause of global warming?

Posted by: Manfred | Sep 8, 2008 11:31:09 AM

You are a proponent of the "drill now" mantra. Citing reliable sources, please estimate the best case scenario of how much this could reduce gas prices.

Posted by: rc | Sep 8, 2008 11:32:13 AM

You are being branded as a "reform" candidate, but you have a solid history of requesting extensive earmarks ($27 million to the small town for which you were the mayor) and have repeatedly made the claim that you said no thanks to the Bridge to Nowhere, when in fact you supported the bridge, only changed your support for it once Congress had canceled the project, and kept the funds for other projects. How does that represent reform? Isn't that business as usual?

I would like Charlie Gibson to ask Governor Palin to PROVE all the facts she spoke about in her acceptance speech last week. Not with double talk, actual proof.

Posted by: Gene | Sep 8, 2008 11:33:42 AM

With all respect to your daughter and your family's privacy, given her situation how can you advocate "abstinence only" education.

Posted by: rc | Sep 8, 2008 11:33:49 AM

Given your energy experience, what do you think are the best short-term and long-term solutions to our dependence on foreign oil?

Posted by: James | Sep 8, 2008 11:34:18 AM

I would like to know which books she wanted banned from the library. Doesn't she believe that we have freedom of choice in what we read? I do not feel I need Big Government telling me what is acceptable.

Also, how can she relate to the issues faced by minorities and those in poverty in the "lower 48"? What is the minority population in Alaska?

Would she go to war with Iran without follwing diplomatic channels first?

If Joe Biden is unqualified to be vice president as he is only a senator, doesn't that also apply to John McCain? He has never had executive experience according to their definition.

1/3 of Alaska's economy comes from federal funds. Isn't that a red flag we should consider? How can she be against "pork" when her states depends on it?

Posted by: GAB | Sep 8, 2008 11:34:30 AM

Charlie, could you please ask the Gov. about her position for abstinence-only education?

Posted by: Jackie | Sep 8, 2008 11:34:34 AM

Please give two examples of foreign policy experience not involving the Alaska National Guard. If you are going to be an advocate in the White House for families with Special Needs Kids, why did you slash the budget to assist them by 65%? Why did you line-item veto assistance for pregnant teen moms?

Posted by: Paige | Sep 8, 2008 11:35:19 AM

Why does she believe global warming is NOT man-made and what is the basis for her belief?

Posted by: Paige | Sep 8, 2008 11:37:02 AM

1. How do you justify calling Joe Biden a Washington Insider, when the top of your ticket has been in Washington for just as long and in compliance with Bush 90% of the time?

2. My uncle is a community organizer; please explain what you meant by the lack of responsibility statement that you have been using on the stump across the country. Community organizer's aren't qualified to go onto the Senate and potentially become President?

3. Judgment- I've heard you're charges against Senator Obama's stance on the surge initially, and praise for Senator McCain's stance. Do you share the same negative view on John McCain's initial decision to go into Iraq, and praise for Barack Obama's opposition?

Posted by: DP | Sep 8, 2008 11:37:24 AM

Given your partisan tone at the RNC, how do you plan to "reach across the aile" if elected?

Posted by: rc | Sep 8, 2008 11:37:31 AM

What does a Vice President do?

Posted by: Deep Release | Sep 8, 2008 11:38:29 AM

Do you believe a decision should be judged on the outcome it yields, or on the evidence and rational arguments backing up that decision?
