Is Sarah Silverman's Great Schlep Working?
October 15, 2008 6:10 PM
So you've seen The Great Schlep viral video? A Jewish political action group's attempt to turn laughs and a little cultural self-deprecation into votes. Great Schleppers, whether taking an actual or virtual trip to grandma's house, are sharing their photos and stories on facebook. ABC's Kristi Berner reports on the Schlep.

Good job, Sarah Silverman. It is nice to see Jewish grandparents overcome their racism and support someone who truly deserves their votes. Obama will help Israel seek a solution of peaceful coexistence with its neighbors, a solution that will offer real peace to the country that has fought so hard for it for so long.

"One_American" - your calling an American presidential candidate "the devil" is shameful. I don't care what your politics are. Shameful.

My Mom is not Jewish; she is devoutly Catholic and conservative. She surprised me the other day and told me she wanted to vote during this election because she sees that this is going to greatly affect her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She surprised me further by saying she was voting for Obama because "he is smart" and what the country needs at this time in our history. BTW, she will be 90 years young next month.

Ha ha ha!
I laughed.
Sarah, you are a great american, not as great as another Sarah that's been in the news lately but still great.
I think your Schlep idea is fantastic.
It's a great opportunity for the older wiser jewish community to talk to their younger naive grandchildren and get them to vote McCain/Palin.
Open dialog helps folks make the right choices in life.
