Stephanopoulos: What McCain Needs to Do
October 10, 2008 9:37 AM
ABC's George Stephanopoulos: With just a few weeks left in the cycle, Republican presidential candidate John McCain's biggest problem has almost nothing to do with him and everything to do with the economy. The campaign dialogue can't break through the tremendous noise and pain brought on by financial woes that so many Americans have been feeling.
McCain has to figure out a way to tie into anger over the economy and convince voters he's got the better plan to solve the financial crisis -- it's his only real hope for victory.
McCain's latest ad goes about as far as you can go in an ad -- it's the second in two days that hits Democratic candidate Barack Obama for lying about his connection to 1960s radical Bill Ayers, though it wasn't a line of attack McCain chose to use against Obama during this week's debate.

ABC News and Newcasters are biase.

What are MSM waiting for? A burning effigy of Obama? Who will take the first step to call these campaign rallies what they are? How long did the McCarthy smears run before someone finally stood up to him? The vote on Nov 4th will tell what Americans really stand for in this country......will it be hate and fear mongering or clear vision for our future? Remember America the world is watching us!!!

What does McCain need to do? Develop some principals and get rid of Palin. Go back and start living up to his promises

The vibe is so nasty around the Left you can see it. Go to FOX and watch how they talk ,all of them, they sound like they are from a different planet not America. Carl Rove Newt G Sean and all of them act like anyone not voting for MaCain Palin is a slime ball cancer cell. When did it get to be OK to call someone you differ with these terrible names. LIBERAL is not a dirty word. We should be very afraid and we should watch our backs.

So according to Mr. dl, Sarahcuda knows something about secession.
Hey, that might come in handy if in 2 years we are fast and far down the road to socialism.
I'll keep an eye on her in case I need to move to a new country that believes in democracy and capitalism.

That's how the mob works. You have a
storefront. You're just selling lunch
plates or whatever. But your real work
is behind the scene. It's what you don't
know. Obama has indeed accomplished some
good - mixed in what a whole lot of not so good. It all becomes murky. His storefront is now being 'Senator' - very respectable. Scratch the surface and it all becomes dirty.
Maybe it's just been 'bad judgment'.
Maybe he had to associate himself with
not so good people in order to accomplish greater things. Keep telling
yourself that.
All people make mistakes; all people have some dirt or skeletons in their closet. Anyone would be a fool to think otherwise.
But there is more to Obama than meets the surface. He associates himself to too many - way too many dishonerable people all throughout his life - and I'm not talking about ancient history.
How ancient could it be? He's not that
old.
Just look at his voting record.
He did more than just being ACORN's lawyer.
His campaign gave a lot of money to
ACORN. NOW LOOK WHAT ACORN IS DOING?
ACORN is notoriously known for their tactics. The FBI has them in their scope.
Well, you know what happens to 'the mob' at the end of the story?
Obama will be outside sitting in a lawn chair thinking about where it all went wrong. Justice is slow; but justice will win out.
(Obama votes against Israel all of the
time. Shades of things to come???)
Posted by: ON THE WATERFRONT | Oct 10, 2008 1:08:34 PM
Who gives a damn about ACORN? Let them get investigated and indicted. ACORN is not running for President.
Posted by: William J. LePetomaine | Oct 10, 2008 4:18:21 PM
NO, ACORN IS NOT RUNNING FOR
PRESIDENT. DID I TOUCH A CHORD TOO
CLOSE TO HOME?
"Who gives a d---?", you ask.
THE FBI GIVES A D---.
So when they discount the dead, and
the duplicates, and the cats' names, etc., and when they find that
people were rehearsed and/or bribed with things like cigarettes, Obama just might
fall behind McCain. See how that works?
Question: Do you believe we should
purge those names, or do you believe
we should keep those names?
Posted by: on the waterfront | Oct 11, 2008 12:58:57 AM
to purge or to keep? that is the
question. What? No answers?
Where does Obama stand on this issue.
I haven't heard anything on that.
I might have missed it.

I have a provocative question for anyone out there who is considering voting for Obama.
On 9/11 we were attacked by foreign terrorists in which 3,000 innocent American lives were lost. On the same day, Bill Ayers, a domestic terrorist, applauds the attack by publishing a statement saying of his own actions in the ’60’s that he doesn’t regret setting bombs and wishes he could have done more. Today, Obama willingly embraces Ayers’ as a political ally. Obama and Ayers have a long-standing association together. Obama’s relationship with Ayers is consistent with with his stated willingness to meet with Achmadenijad, the President of Iran, “without preconditions”.
3,000 American lives were lost on 9/11. Will your vote for Obama speak of justice for the victims of 9/11 or as a justification for the terrorists who attacked us? Bill Ayers will never be brought to justice for his actions against this country. If Obama becomes our next president, neither will any of the foreign terrorists who hate and attack our country. I don’t trust Obama to lead our country as Commander in Chief. If he will make an alliance with domestic terrorists, he will do the same with foreign terrorists. This country will not be safe with Obama as our president. Maybe I am being a bit extreme. But, I would rather sound extreme and be right in whom I vote for than to put a terrorist-friendly president in the White House.

The Reuters/Zogby poll has McCain/Palin down just 1.9%. The Hotline/FD tracking poll has McCain/Palin down only 1%. I don't believe McCain needs to listen to Sir George Popodopolus! McCain is gaining on Obama. Remember, Gore and Kerry also led throughout the electoral campaign and still lost. Ross Perot bought some tv air time in '92 and still lost. Your dear Barak Obama is just another Jimmy Carter loser, even if he does have his allies in the media and the help of ACORN trying to steal the election. John McCain for President

McCain a Man that will go down in
History as one who tried and just
could not cut it ... in the big league
and yes he has experience ... how many
times has ran and failed
to get the office of the President ?
how many times do the American people
have to say.... NO WAY!!!!
That being said I think Mr. McCain
would be a fine pick to serve his
with all his experience as the
Ambassador of Iraq ....
50 make it 100 Years....
or call it a Draft .. revenge is
a Dish best served Cold... star Trek..
lol..................

George, George, George....You are truly the professional in this category, over all of the 'blog posters' above. If the press would treat the two candidates as equals, and not spread suspicion, or assumptions about either one of them, then you know, more than the rest, that it would be a fair race. I cannot understand why, our country is so big on trash and gossip, when it comes to ABC News?! The press sways the vote, and I wish that ABC would present the news, not make it. Thank you!
