ABC's Ryan Owens from Dallas:
President Bush is leaving office with historically low approval numbers so you might ask: Who would want to donate to the George W. Bush library here in Dallas? Well, it turns out we won't find out.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the foundation charged with raising $300 million dollars for the library at Southern Methodist University says it will NOT disclose the names of donors.
Perhaps that pledge of anonomity helps fundraising efforts. According to tax reports, the foundation has raised a measly $3 million so far.
For the record, there is no law requiring the disclosure of the names of donors to presidential libraries. In fact, President Clinton kept his private until he was forced to release them so his wife could be the next Secretary of State.
