There's a growing rift between President Obama and some Senate Democrats over the $410 billion spending bill, which contains nearly 8,000 pet projects or pork, sought by members of Congress.
A handful of Democrats are breaking ranks with the President, who has said he will sign the bill. In an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal today, Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh encouraged the Senate to reject the House version of the bill, which he deemed fiscally irresponsible.
Over the course of the campaign, Obama pledged to "slash earmarks by more than half."
Do you think the President should sign the spending bill even though it contains pet projects?
