McCain's 'Straight Talk Express' for Sale

April 03, 2009 1:32 PM

ABC News' Alessandra Sozio reports:

The McCain campaign ran out of gas on election day, but its "big wheels keep on turning." Sen. McCain's iconic campaign bus has been put up for sale on busforsale.com. Listed price? $89,000.

Nm_mccain_bus_081203_main That might seem steep for a luxury day bus that no longer comes with a day of conversation and campaigning with the Arizona senator.  But maybe it's a steal?  Click here to take a look for yourself.

From the ever colorful Partridge family bus to Ralph Kramden's wheels in "The Honeymooners," buses have long carved out a small place in our collective pop culture.  The Who sang: "I don't want to cause no fuss (Too much, the Magic Bus), But can I buy your Magic Bus? (Too much, the Magic Bus)."  Well, you can at least give it a visual test drive.

I thought that the straight talk express was sold out when Sarah Palin was selected his running mate.

"may run out of gas?" Do our "journalists" of today rely on Microsoft Word's grammar checker to write? Stunning.

When is Obama's "I lie to get what I want express because the American people are too dumb to know the difference as long as the media continues to glorify me and whitewash my Marxist liberalism" express going on sale?

Who's the warmonger?
Obama is advancing on Afghanistan.
Why is Obama any different?
He is continuing the war.

Also, if you stick around long enough you will see Obama age as well.
Do you have a problem with this?
Would you then say he 'smells'?
Why are you prejudiced against older people?

How much would it cost to buy the democratic party?
Oh, yes, your soul.

The price should go below $89,000 because McCain and his pick did not win!

time - At least Obama is the the CORRECT country.

He's selling the bus...so what? The more pressing questions are who purchased the bus? And who gets the money from the sale? And I wonder if it's tax exempt.....

Yes, the GOP is the party of losers! You can make snide comments about Obama all you like but he won, McCain lost and I couldn't be happier. It's interesting that the GOP had no interest in the amount of debt they were leaving our kids when they began the war in Iraq! As for Obama's so called war in Afghanistan, this is where that idiot Bush should have sent the troops after September 11th. What a tool! Can't wait for 2010 to pick of more useless republicans!

What snide remarks did I make about Obama? I was only defending snide remarks about McCain, roxunsteady.
(the 'smell' remark was in response to a post that was erased by ABC. Somebody wrote that McCain had an 'old man smell'. Did you see that post, roxy?)

Anyway, Obama promised in his campaign that he would 'end the war'/ 'withdraw troops',etc.
He lied. He is only transplanting the Iraq troops to Afghanistan.
This is not a snide remark. It is a true observation of Obama's campaign promises.
If you're sooo happy, roxy, why are you so defensive?

Maybe he and his wife could trade their many mansions for this "plush" home.
