Sarah Palin's NYC Tour

Sarah Palin was back on the East Coast this weekend. She traveled to upstate New York on Saturday to participate in a parade for a museum honoring former secretary of state, William Seward. (Seward bought Alaska from Russia in 1867). More than 20,000 people turned out to see her, and during the celebration she spoke out about President Obama’s proposal to cut Alaska’s missile defense network.

“Reducing Alaska’s defense readiness in these perilous times is a show of weakness, it is not a sign of strength,” she said “And yet, Washington thinks it’s best now to cut defense spending in Alaska by hundreds of millions of dollars. Now that is an odd priority there."

On Sunday, Palin and her husband joined Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and his wife Judith as they watched the Yankees play Tampa Bay. Giuliani invited her after he heard she was coming to town, and welcomed her into his booth to watch the game. On Sunday evening, Palin was presented with an award from the Independent Group Living Foundation for her commitment to supporting the disabled
