Christmas Sales...in July!
July 10, 2009 2:18 PM
ABC's Hanna Siegel reports from New York:
Sears wants you to get your Christmas shopping done early and they don’t mean by Thanksgiving. They mean July.
Christmas is here if you shop at Sears and online at its sister store Kmart. Starting July 5th and running through the 25th, Sears and Kmart websites, as well as several hundred Sears store locations across the country, are opening up their “Christmas Lane,” which will give customers a chance to see what the company will be offering in holiday home décor come Christmas season.
The idea, says the company, is to encourage customers to start shopping early and possibly participate in the retailer’s lay-a-way plans that allow consumers to pay for items gradually over time. So, if you hate the holiday season crowds, or just want to deck your halls early this year, check out Christmas Lane or go to your local Sears.
Just don’t expect Santa to come down your chimney anytime soon.
