Daily Roundtable: Kerry is Back... For Obama
January 10, 2008 3:23 PM
Bill Richardson is out of the race, and John Kerry is in it -- for Obama, that is.
The '04 nominee endorsed Obama today in South Carolina.
In an email to supporters, John Kerry wrote, "I want to share with you my conviction that in a field of fine Democratic candidates, the next President of the United States can be, should be, and will be Barack Obama. Each of our candidates would make a fine President, and we are blessed with a strong field. But for this moment, at this time in our nation's history, Barack Obama is the right choice."
ABC's Rick Klein says the endorsement "gives Obama a chance to change the campaign storyline during a crucial period. It also gives Obama access to new sources of campaign cash, particularly through the 3 million-strong e-mail list Kerry has maintained after his failed 2004 bid for the presidency."
The AP's Glen Johnson calls the endorsement "a slap at Edwards" and "a jab at Clinton."
The Edwards campaign responded with a written statement saying, "Our country and our Party are stronger because of John’s service, and I respect his decision. When we were running against each other and on the same ticket, John and I agreed on many issues. I continue to believe that this election is about the future, not the past, and that the country needs a President who will fight aggressively to end the status quo and change the Washington system and to give voice to all of those whose voices are ignored in the corridors of power."
What do you think of Kerry's endorsement? Does he have the ability to boost the Obama campaign? How big of a blow is this to the Edwards and Clinton campaigns? We'll be talking about the endorsement on the This Week All Week webcast later today, and you can join the discussion here in our comments section.

Like it or not, Obama needs many establishments Dems to endorse his compaign or the donors will dry up if they sense the firewall is too hard to run against. They give legitimacy to the movement whether you like or not and if they are not endorsing Hilary then that is a good thing. I think Hilary and Bill's nasty comments about Obama at the end of the NH campaign are going to hurt Hilary and Bill's legacy with the African American community. I was very dissapointed in them both for lashing out that way.

Who cares? I never voted for him, I never liked him? What's he trying to do here? Get his name in the limelight again that's what! Kerry is History, and far as I'm concerned he has no right to give out anyones email adress or other who had supported him. We all have enough of junk mail!

Kerry did not endorse Edward or Hillary because none of them asked !!! Good luck Obama... you have a great judgement..
How about this... you sold a home to the dirtiest most corrupt person in Illinois and then you say I had no Idea.. and then say yes I know little bit but he was good to me.. and then again change your position and say it was a bad idea!!! We SURE CAN TRUST YOUR JUDGEMENT ... SO MUCH FOR THE TOUTED IRAQ JUDGEMENT.. WHERE YOU HAD THE LUXRY TO "NOT" VOTE.. BUT IN THE SENATE YOU VOTE PRESENT FOR SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES THAT YOU NOW SAY YOU WILL SOLVE... I WISH YOU WERE BETTER THAN THAT.. I WISH YOU WERE WHAT YOU SAID IN YOUR SPEACHES THAT I SO FONDLY HEARD.. AND CHERISHED..
THE GREAT FANS OF OBAMA... THE PRESS IS NOW TAKING SOME LOOK INTO MR. OBAMA.. THE ONITED GOD.

Obama's Connection With an Accused Political Fixer Raises Questions

Your so called "blind trust" conveniently invested in two stocks in companies owned by major donors of your campaign. The one company was creating a new drug to combat avian flu. In your first two weeks you introduced major spending bills to combat avian flu.
The church you claim to attend is pro-African and appears to be anti-Jewish. Your own minister visited Libya with Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam. Wright is quoted saying that "when [Obama's] enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli … with Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell." Then in December 2007, Obama’s church honored the Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
Your career in the Illinois legislature was marked by too many "present" votes and not enough FOR or AGAINST. Political opportunist!!
In your biography, you stated you started using cocaine and marijuana in Hawaii because you were trying to come to terms with your identity. You used many created names for those old friends and they have now come forward to provide their real names and speak against your drug use.
Obama is not change but politics as usual. He is cotton candy; all Bluff and no substance. He is what Republicans would love to face !!!! WHY is the fox promiting him soooo much!!! why do THEY fear Hillary ?

joe7,
Nice try. Actually no, not really.
Commenting on your screed is tough - where to begin? So much to choose from.
Let me just say that as someone who has attended church with Sen. Obama and has read much of the BS you cite about it, him and his minister, I just want to say,
Bull.
The whole NOI/Libya thing is old, discredited crap from IL politics, here being recycled because the Republican Party of Illinois, such as it is, has a hyperactive imagination. As opposed to, you know, actual candidates who are worth anything. Alan Keyes? Please.
Their cupboard is bare, and even with the funny-if-it-weren't-tragic state of the Dem leaders in the state, the R's still can't pull together a viable alternative.
So they drag out old BS from back issues of the Springfield Journal-Register to make themselves feel like they're in the know.
Get ready for the next President from Illinois to be a Democrat, in the spirit of the last one from here, who was of course a Republican.

That's politicians for ya. I believe the only reason why Kerry endorsed Obama was to get his name in the spotlight again. If Obama wins (which I hope he doesn't) Kerry will have a better chance at getting a job in the White House. I believe that is what he is working towards. As far as the endorsement goes, I do not even care if all the congressmen and senators endorsed him. Obama just is not right for the job, he has no experience in national government, with only being in there for about two years, when other candidates have been in there for actual terms. Take a look at all the bills Obama has presented, some of them are to commemorate people, which I believe is a very good gesture; but the Congress does not have the time or money to waste on commemorating the lives of people.
Will Kerry's endorsement hurt Edwards and Clinton? I don't know, only time will tell.

Would Senator Kerry be a guest on this show today if he would endorse Senator Clinton instead of Obama? I don’t think so. Where are all the Clinton endorsers? No one interviews them. The bias in the media against Clinton is breathtaking.

THE UNDENIABLE POLITICAL-LEADERSHIP OF SHIRLEY CHISHOLM
Follow the Chisholm Trail: The current (Democratic) Candidates lack the stage presence, articulate, and powerful electrifying performance of true Leaders such as Shirley Chisholm.
The original change candidate has already made history but the American press and political news media/shows seems to be in denial or non-recognition of the history of this - our American country.
In the 70's Shirley Chisholm founded the new America... which the media is trying to deny or destroy...
The similarities of Vietnam and Iraq and the Nixon era politics and Bush era politics and the politics of Black America cannot be denied… and therefore the founder of the Change Campaign of Shirley Chisholm (and democratic nominee George McGovern) cannot be neglected.
A Country that cannot build upon its past cannot construct a future.
In the memory and honor of Shirley Chisholm’s Groundbreaking and Landmark Campaign for Change, and as the 1972 Chisholm trail - Presidential Campaign – trail-blazed the path through-out this country for others such as Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama. I hope to set the record straight by establishing that the foundation, founder and catalyst for change is and was the 1st black/woman presidential candidate Shirley Chisholm, and now hope that Barack Obama carries on the baton that has been passed to him for change in this country as well.
John Edwards and Hillary Clinton also share this responsibility which Shirley Chisholm has made for them.
Barack Obama, John Edwards and Hillary Clinton are all good candidates but the person who stands out above all of them is Shirley Chisholm’s and her electrifying and groundbreaking campaign of 1972 when Richard Nixon ran on the republican ticket and George McGovern was the democratic nominee...and Shirley Chisholm was the candidate and catalyst for CHANGE IN AMERICA as SHE CHANGED AMERICAN HISTORY and the future course of the country.
She is the model for all of the other candidates to emulate or give tribute.
The question of black leadership still exists, so far the question is if black/ african-americans are going to be voting for Hillary Clinton, wife of the first president (accepted as being Black) or Barack Obama - a black candidate who's parents are racially different Kenyan-African/black and white American woman from Kansas.
but as we all know curly hair and light of dark complexion means that your a black man and your are treated or perceived negatively by American society from your childhood through becoming an adult and the worse as you advance into your career/ or you suffer from past facial tactics and biases.
Therefore being black often means you are Black listed often, treated unfairly, mistreated or treated deconstructively while others are often promoted fraudulently or constructively.
Accept if you’re promoted for diversity reasons. But in this case all of your struggles and accomplishments are overlooked and you are seen as filling a position not because of your accomplishments but because of the color of your skin.
Which brings us to today’s political topic (more or less).
Often times the white/mainstream adopt a black person as their own and treat/promote them so specially that they separate them from the (priorities of the) flock.
This person is often seen as a house (Negro) or (Uncle Tom) someone who has lost all of their cultural and historical values and has become a casualty of the important agenda. (In a few words).
Black Americans are often faced with the challenge of voting for the underdog in political campaigns with the agenda of making a statement to the world or American society.
White people often vote for underdogs but they could be potential winners
Black people often vote for underdogs but they are losers who have no chance of winning or making a statement, in essence nearly useless in American society.
Shirley Chisholm revolutionized America and became a revolutionary woman known around the world as one of the top 10 most important women in the world which dismissed all negative notions of the potential of black America, as she constructed the foundation for a renewed and revolutionized American society.
TODAY....
Today Barack Obama has been accepted/adopted and popularized by white American media and society far ahead of getting any concrete facts and information of is presidential run.
American society has turned him into somewhat a pop-star instead of a serious political candidate like Shirley Chisholm.
Hillary Clinton is a woman candidate who of course brings the potential of a woman candidate to the presidency of the USA, who naturally brings issues of black America to the presidency because of the shared black America and women’s movements together because of the Shirley Chisholm presidential Campaign era of the early-mid. 70's, where she carried the needs of everyone in the country.
Black AMERICA (is…very Serious)
It would seem that the underdog here is John Edwards who the media has neglected like a potential black candidate, also the media has denied his john Kennedy like characteristics while over promoting Osama’s Lincoln similarities which is totally insane.
Shirley Chisholm has created the revolution in America and changed the country from it's racist a male-gender oriented history, and she has created the America we live in today. Not necessarily Martin Luther king who dissevers his credit especially in the south, but the national and world agenda belongs to Shirley Chisholm, at the dawn of our advanced economy in the 70's Shirley Chisholm founded the new America... which the media is trying to destroy... so if the Media is looking for a revolutionary leader it is not Abraham Lincoln but it is Shirley Chisholm, who has created the society we all enjoy Today.
Black people support serious people with a good message for the country, who are often the underdog like John Edwards and as we all know the leader of the pack often trips loses the race, while other move up and pass the front runners like Barack Obama or Hillary.Clinton.
I’m not necessarily promoting john Edwards but I am promoting the ability and opportunities of the underdog.
In the 70’s the Country had to be changed and reshaped and Shirley Chisholm as a catalyst for change address all of the issues in order to create a more civilized country.
Today’s democratic candidates and the news media must recognize who has addressed change in this country and has made this country into a better place. Today’s candidates must learn how to build on the structure that Shirley Chisholm has created and at that point perhaps they would be able to see that they already have a path or trail blazed for them which will take them to the presidency of the United States.
Please see the PowerPoint presentation on Shirley Chisholm’s Groundbreaking Presidential run in 1972 when the political issues were about Vietnam War and the progression of black America, women in America and America as a whole nation represented by Shirley Chisholm.

For anyone who is a NWO Illuminati sort of theorist - consider - 'the person with the most 'royal' genes' is always the next to be president' so says David Icke, and other Illumnati folks. Now, I wonder if someone could do a geneology of all the candidates and see, who is most closely related to the royal families in Europe. We know that Clinton, Regan, and the Bushits are all related through Ireland, England, and France. According to these conspiracy geniuses/nutters which ever you think, they claim its EASY to see who the next Prez will be. Anyone up for a bit of fun and distraction from all the ugliness? I haven't a clue where to start, but I will say that someone sent me a video from 1999, just before the campaign started, and this David Icke guy was precise when he said, live in Vancouver, 'Your next President will be George W. And shortly after, expect, uh, perhaps an attack on the U.S. or maybe a manipulated war. Or Both." He said that during this speech, making fun of Clinton because he was President at the time. Some of his speeches had some scary correct info. I am not sure if he is completely nuts, lucky? Whatever, the alien part is a bit much, but look him up about the geneologies of the U.S. Presidents. We might know who's next without all this bashing :) (Fun For Thought!)

Why is Fox Promoting Obama so much? What else can they say or bring against Hillary that hasn't dropped her yet? I mean it is like Godzilla versus the H-Bomb and now there is NOTHING left to pitch as her. They have trashed her, hated her, vilified her, derided her, plastered her, and STILL she is here and going forward. I mean this has been since her involvement as a young lawyer during the Impeachement Hearings for Nixon. The Repos have never forgotten. Or forgiven. And yet she moved up. She pushed forward a child care law that became the law of the land years later. She moved into the Arkansas Govenor's mansion - and I love everyone who says First Ladies have nothing to do or say about anything. How many of you Obama women sit and tell your friends that it is YOU who run the house and the finances, though your husband thinks its him? How many of you women say without ME, my husband would get lost in the coat closet? Tons. Then Hillzilla moves on, get into the white house. The news attacks. They kick. She tries healthcare for all - she's a miserable, evil socialist. They beat her back. She goes on in the White House. She then goes for the Senate. They trash, crash, fire away - and she wins. They do the same for her reelection - she kicks their a$$es - no, she didn't have a strong opponent because the Republicans saw she was going to even win THEIR counties in the North - so they fired some ammo at her, missed again, and she won. Now they are trying the same thing by fooling us into picking Obama. They can dig up tons of stuff, lie about it, after all, 935 times Bush and his buddies lied, and we are still in that war, and still in debt, and he is still getting richer by the minutes. Why can't they lie about Obama? Swift Vote him? They will. They know they can't against Hillary. They only have Repos to get up in arms against her. They have tried all the weapons they have in their arsenol and she is still standing, running for higher office. You tell me why they want Obama. He is easy easy easy pickings. He speaks hope and nothing else. No questions please. No specifics at this time, my friends. "I DEMAND AN APOLOGY!!" every 10 minutes. The Repos will laugh him right into a footnote in the history books. Obama alone will set back his own cause, because that is what this is all about is him, HIS people, HIS reconstitution, HIS take on race, HIS theory about what equal really is. So vote for him. Please. Then we can lose. And the blame is coming for you all that did this. And when you reach a hand out to say "HELP, I HAD NO IDEA" we can say to you - "All you need is hope. So hope yourself out of your problems." You didn't want experience. Well now, my friend under the bridge, you are about to get a TON of experience. So vote away. Can't wait to lose in '08! That's a great bumpersticker for you folks who think white racist southern power rich republicans are going to vote for a liberal, super-abortion supporting black Democrat. You are the same people that think the earth is flat, JFK was killed by Lee, and that MLK could sign his own laws into the books without a President's signature. CAN'T WAIT TO LOSE IN '08 - chant it folks - CAN'T WAIT TO LOSE IN '08!!

Stop The Drama? Do you know what they are going to do to this naive, unspecific speech giver? He is going to be afternoon tea and toast when they get done with him. He is crying now in the Primary. You think the Repos are going to care about race baiting or mulsim baiting? You think they aren't going to lie and convince all those Einsteins in the southern hills of the U.S. that make up MILLIONS that he is not some radical, out for race revenge, out for islamic interstests? I know that is not true but these folks eat and drink Fox News. They have the cultural boundaries of a golf ball. And there are MILLIONS of these people. Black folks make up about 7% of the voting population nationwide. 78% are white. 15% are Latino. 2% other races. Obama got a miserable 20% of the white vote. I would imagine in the Latino quarters it is even worse, but there are very few of them voting in S.C. He will never beat the Power Republican Money Corporate Racist NeoConartists. Never. They won't allow it. They have the money and power to FIX the election before they are told what to do by a liberal professor with 3 years and 2 months experience in the Senate, who supports abortions even in the 9th month. They run commercials that will make Rosemary's Baby seem like teddy bear. They will run dishonest ads about Rezko beyond what we know now. They will show buildings without lights, and its cold and snowy and alone, in the distance, there will be Tiny Tim, trying to read his Bible by candlelight, his crutches in the corner. They will run ads that show Obama flapping in the ocean while folks back in the slum houses of Chicago will be dirty, begging for scraps. They will rip this guy to shreds like Jaw52. He doesn't stand a chance if we put him up. But we just might do it, because democrats LOVE playing the victim. We love it. We can cry and look for sympathy. We just can't seem to stand winning. So like I said before -
CAN'T WAIT - TO LOSE IN '08
CAN'T WAIT - TO LOSE IN '08
repeat slowly so it sinks in . . .
CANT WAIT - TO LOSE . . . . . . .
:(

John Kerry shared my e-mail address with another Democratic representative to send me an e-mail for Obama. I did not authorize the sharing of that information with anyone. I resent Kerry's assumptions that I cannot select the candidate of my choice in this election without his assistance.

I HAVE BEEN KEEPING UP WITH THIS ELECTION BECAUSE OUR NATION IS IN A DIRE STATE AND WE NEED SOMEONE TO SAVE US FROM THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL WE ARE FACING. I AM MOST CONCERNED BECAUSE I SEE PEOPLE GETTING CARRIED AWAY BY EMOTION AND SENTIMENTALITY TO VOTE FOR A CANDIDATE INSTEAD OF LOOKING FOR A LEADER WITH PROVEN EXPERIENCE. MOST PEOPLE LOOK FOR MORE EXPERIENCE WHEN LOOKING FOR A DENTIST THAN WE ARE WHEN CHOOSING THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. VOTE FOR SENATOR CLINTON, SHE IS THE BEST QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED PERSON FOR THE JOB!!!

The University of Chicago Hospitals accused of patient dumping.
Find out what Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General had to say. Click here.
From the HHS website:May 08, 2006 The University of Chicago Hospitals (UCH), Illinois, agreed to pay $35,000 to resolve its liability for CMPs under the patient dumping statute. The OIG alleged that the hospital failed to accept an appropriate transfer of a 61-year-old male who presented to another emergency department with a complaint of flank pain. UCH had specialized capabilities not available at the transferring hospital and allegedly refused to accept transfer after learning that the patient did not have insurance. UCH then later agreed to accept transfer of the patient only if he provided proof of funds in a bank account. The patient was transferred to another hospital where he died.

and another one from his home state - newspapers just love this con artist:
This isn't going to go away
And while the Rezko business has definitely taken the bloom off the rose, I still haven't seen anything so far that should disqualify Obama from being president, certainly not in a matchup with Hillary Clinton, who has her own fund-raising con man albatross in Norman Hsu to complement the earlier trail of tears from Whitewater to Monica Lewinsky.
Most troubling to me is how Obama keeps handling this, a continuing lapse in judgment that leaves me wondering if there's more here than meets the eye instead of less.
Just last weekend, the Obama campaign donated to charity another $40,000 in past campaign donations linked to Rezko. Why hadn't they taken care of that months ago instead of waiting for the latest Sun-Times' story?
From the start, Obama's approach to the Rezko situation has been to minimize and avoid, as if it would eventually just go away. It won't.
As far as nobody having an inkling that Rezko could be a problem, that's just not true either.
Many people recognized Rezko as a guy on the make who was busily ingratiating himself to Chicago politicians with an eye toward a future payback. As I've written before, from the moment he showed up as John Stroger's biggest campaign donor, the questions were always: What does he want? What's his angle?
The details of his indictment show just how far Rezko would allegedly go to take advantage of his ties to an Illinois governor. Imagine what he had in mind if his other buddy became president.

and a bit more on Michelle:
How Michelle Obama’s desire to get “some corporate experience” devastated the town of LaJunta Colorado.
Hispanic union workers like Santiago Vasquez lose jobs because Michelle Obama wants to improve efficiency? She defends layoffs telling Chicago Crains Business (click here to read the complete investigative report) that her firm "hopes to expand and hire more workers, many minorities, once it boosts its efficiency.”
There are TONS of real stories out there about these two that are making the Clintons look like amatures. Who'da thunk it?
Maybe if I past these all day, one after another, someone will read them and realize they have been in a cult for the past month. Like Scientology, without the free Cruise.
