April 26, 2008 5:59 PM

This Sunday, we're back at the Newseum with a full line-up.

First, Democrats debate their party's potential nominees. Clinton supporters Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, and Obama supporters former Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D., and Rep. Artur Davis, D-Ala., discuss the race heading into the Indiana and North Carolina primaries.

Then on the Roundtable, Maureen Dowd, Donna Brazile, Matt Dowd and George Will discuss the week.

Do you think any of these candidates know how much per gallon is taxed on gasoline. Federal? State? What the taxes intended for? Great question for any of them. See how intuned they really are for the everyday Joe.

ABOUT THE NEW SET AND CAMERA WORK:
What is up with the camera work since moving to the new studio? Are you guys shooting Donna Brazile with a hand-held? No one seems to know how to block the shots. The cameras are constantly zooming in and out. You may have to adjust how the panelists are seated. PLEASE STRAIGHTEN THIS OUT. I love the show, but it's making me sea-sick to watch.

Has anyone mentioned the fact that Obama has big ears?

I find it absolutely mind-boggling that during the Round Table that no one said they saw the interview with Jeremiah Wright, no one has said they have seen the entire sermons from which these sound bites were culled,yet there has been no effort to rescind this rush to judgement of this man.George Will mentioned the AIDS comment but given the FACT and I repeat the FACT that the U. S government DID INFECT BLACK mEN WITH SYPHYLIS IN THE 1940S, WHY IS THIS POSSIBILITY SO FAR FETCHED? Also, the so-called 911 Sermon was mostly direct quotes from former U.S. ambassador Larry Peck. Finally the the "God Damn America" statemen is spiritualyy correct. God will never bless evil. America was blessed by God and turned her back on those blessings by it's actions, of slavery racism, classism and imperialism.We never want to air our dirty laundry. Rev. Wright is only following the command from God in Isaiah 58:1. "Cry Aloud,spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet;Tell my people teir transgression, And the house of Jacob their SINS!(caps and emphasis; mine.)

Der George, please inform that idiot Matthew Dowd that we don't hate Bush because of some nebulous fear. We hate Bush, and all his ex-munchkins, because they're all responsible for a badly batched war against terroism, for exceesively politicized administration, for being stupid, Katrina, and most of all, for wanting him and little pals to be gone, gone, gone, and yet he stays, like the drunk at the party that ended two hours ago.

Sunday 4-25-08

Once again ABC and its talking head George S. have demonstrated their inability to moderate a first grade event.

Today’s panel included the following idiots;

Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, and Obama supporters former Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D., and Rep. Artur Davis, D-Ala.

These people and the moderator are supposed to be political experts; my God it’s their job. There supposed to be informed, knowledgeable and most of all honest. A big part of the conversation was on the popular vote and its impact on the Superdeligates.

Are you kidding me? The will of the people has been ignored by the President, Senators, and Congressmen for ever. Since when have any of them voted for anything because of the will of the people?

Our Presidents are elected not by popular vote but by electoral vote, as evidenced by;

Al Gore’s run for the Whitehouse. He one the popular vote but lost the election due to the electoral vote.

Richard Nixon beat John F. Kennedy in the popular vote but lost the election due to the electoral vote.

I don’t recall being asked to vote for the War in Iraq but there we are.

I don’t recall being asked if I want are Soldiers to come home but there they stay.

I don’t recall being asked regarding Pork Barrel spending but there it is.

So here we are in a fierce Primary Election with (by the rules of the party) a clear winner and all of a sudden the delegate count doesn’t matter. Since when do the Clintons have the right to change the rules? There is no doubt in my mind if the rolls where reversed they would be defending the delegate count, and you all know it.

Where was George S. why didn’t he challenge the Clinton supporters, hell why didn’t former Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D., and Rep. Artur Davis, D-Ala. Bring it up?

Then on the Roundtable, Maureen Dowd, Donna Brazile, Matt Dowd and George Will, the worst panel on TV. Bring up comments regarding Rev. Wright and George Will says where extremely anti-American but failed to bring up even worse statements made by;

Rev. Hagee statements linking Adolf Hitler and the Roman Catholic Church in a conspiracy to exterminate the Jews."

That "Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans" because it "had a level of sin that was offensive to God," as evidenced by plans for "a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina.

And I haven’t commented on statements made by Pat Robertson or the late Jerry Falwell.

As recent as Friday McCain said he welcomed their support.

You people call yourself journalist, fair and honest reporters. I call you bias and self serving opportunist.

Post this if you are fair and honest. Ill hold my breath.

Please don't tell me again that I won't vote for Barack Obama because I'm a racist. I won't be voting for Barack Obama because he does not bring the experience that Hillary Clinton has at the national level. As for young people, I know a lot of very impressive young people supporting Hillary including my own children.
There is a television program setting up incidents to see how people respond. Time after time, there is a distinct difference between the way men and women respond. It is time to experience that difference in the White House. GO HILLARY!

Sorry, I got the date wrong, I meant to say 4-27-08.

Posted by: Richard Skory | Apr 27, 2008 10:59:59 AM

Obama will not be president - not because of any of the hate speech of Rev. Wright - but because he is simply not qualified to president. And for all her invisible "experience" neither will Hillary. Both of their "resumes" are an empty sheet of paper for the most part. These two couldn't BS their way into a corporate job nevermind the presidency. "So, is the only resume you have?"

Posted by: Chas | Apr 27, 2008 11:07:06 AM

Sheila Jackson Lee just quoted a California philosopher...wasn't that Rodney King? Oh, he's a philosopher now? And why is it that when the black population votes for Barack, we shouldn't focus on the racial issue, but when white males vote for Hillary its an important issue that means that Barack can't win an election.

Posted by: Mir | Apr 27, 2008 11:07:22 AM

I enjoyed the show except that somehow the perception that Clinton has caused the damage to Obama was left out there. IN FACT, OBAMA CAUSED HIS OWN PROBLEMS.

Recent primaries have shown that people believe Obama's not ready and can't defend his associations.

We need to stay focused on who's the most electable in November.

Posted by: s. valenti | Apr 27, 2008 11:08:00 AM

Skory - the problem with your comparisons are the fact that McCain did not attend any of these other churches. Non of these preachers were his "mentor." That is clearly a HUGE difference. It's one thing for a a candidate to say "yea that nit wit over there likes me" and it is entirely different for a candidate to say "Yea, that nit wit has been my mentor for 20 years."

Posted by: Chas | Apr 27, 2008 11:22:45 AM

You may be misinformed. Yes I agree, because of Bill Clinton Hillary has been around politics for a long time.

As far as actually holding a political office and making political decisions that affect real American people, it's not even close, Obama has held political office twice as long as Hillary.

Contrary to public opinion because you have been around someone or exposed to something it does not make you proficient at it.

I bring this up just to correct the misconception.

Posted by: Richard Skory | Apr 27, 2008 11:41:28 AM

"been around someone" - "exposed to something" - He was his mentor, not merely exposed to or been around. He was like a father to the man. Wright is a hate speaking racist - not the kind of "mentor" in whom I would expect a prsident to confide.

GO HILLARY

Who is directing the show today? I ask because it is absolutely awful. Your camerapeople are unable to keep the shot steady and are unable to focus appropriately on their target. It looks like someone wants to make this look like a rock concert...and quite frankly, I'm embarassed for you. (and the guy running in the background withcamera...come on people) I was under the impression this show was one for information and not "soft news" for entertainment. Perhaps I am wrong. Can't really find real news anywhere these days for all the spin and now the camerawork and the attempt (I guess) to spice up the look? Too bad. Guess I'll have to turn this show off now also. Pretty blatant imcompetence in my opinion.
