Daniel Perez Cueva, 21, Lima, Peru
April 18, 2007 7:13 PM
Daniel Perez Cueva was a native of Peru, studying international relations. His father, Flavio Perez, told RPP radio in Peru that he was trying to get a humanitarian visa from the U.S.consulate there, so he could travel to Virginiato claim his son’s body. A spokesman at the embassy said the father would "receive all the attention possible when he applies."

I am also from Peru and I have been living in this country for 27 years. My thought and prayers are with Daniel's family. We come to this country for a better future, we come here with goals and dreams, and it is unfortunate that those dreams are shattered by a tragedy. May Heavenly Father will give you the strength that you need to overcome this difficult time.

I grieve with you for the loss of such a remarkable person. May you find comfort through family/friends support and precious memories of times shared with Daniel. Please do not become filled with hate but instead love like there is no tommorow. We don't know why such tragedies happen, but through such pain we need to create positive change. My faith has me believe that you will be reunited again someday. Please accept my prayers and love during this time of sorrow.
